Job summary

Upvest is hiring a CASS Oversight Manager to protect client money and custody assets in full compliance with FCA CASS. You will be the primary day‑to‑day authority on CASS, coordinating with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Client and Operations to scale our financial infrastructure while maintaining regulatory integrity.

You will own the oversight framework, oversee reconciliations and breaches, and interact with banks, custodians and auditors.

Qualifications

• Thorough working knowledge of CASS 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, including client money calculations and reconciliation methods.
• Experience in breach handling, CMAR reporting and CASS audits.
• Ability to interpret FCA rules and translate them into procedures and controls.
• Strong communication of regulatory requirements to engineers, product teams and external partners.
• Organised, independent worker, able to manage reporting and audit deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own the CASS oversight framework and improve risk assessments, controls, policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with B2B, sales and client impact teams to enable compliant product offerings.
• Oversee daily client money calculations and reconciliations with timely remediation.
• Manage breaches, CMAR reporting and annual CASS audit coordination.
• Maintain the CASS Resolution Pack and ensure updates after changes.
• Embed CASS considerations into product and system changes with engineering.
• Provide CASS MI to board and risk committees and deliver regulatory training.
• Manage relationships with banks, custodians and auditors and support external reviews.
