Job summary

E & C Mid-Atlantic Ventures, LLC is seeking a reliable cashier to provide friendly customer service and accurate checkout experiences. You will handle cash and card transactions, assist customers, stock merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness.

The role requires adherence to policy on alcohol and cigarette sales, basic math skills, and the ability to operate a cash register and related equipment. Training may include TIPS/Liquor liability components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
• Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand.
• Quotes price and describes features of items for which money is received.
• Operates cash register to record price, tax, and rebates.
• Verify cigarette count with shifts and incoming shift.
• Follow company policy for carding: alcohol and cigarettes.
• Responsible for pricing/displaying of received goods.
• Check-in vendors and ensure delivery before signing receipt.
• Operate lottery machine.
• Clean the store, including bathrooms and spills.
• Stock/restock merchandise and supplies.
• Keep food service equipment clean and full.
• Other duties as assigned.
