Job Description

Our professional service teams play a vital role in supporting businesses by providing specialised expertise and assistance for our brands. Our Cash Management team is a key part of our Finance function. If you have high attention to detail, thrive in a customer-centric and deadline-driven environment, and want to develop your career within finance, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Saint Gobain Professional Services are part of Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, who are worldwide leaders in sustainable construction.

This role can be worked on a hybrid basis with a minimum of two days in the office required per week.

What we're looking for

This role is essential for our business operations and relies on a dedicated team to process, record, and reconcile bank transactions and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Some experience in finance, through education or industry, would be advantageous, but the most important success factors are:

  • High accuracy and strong numeric skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Strong adherence to and awareness of internal controls.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Resilience, energy, and enthusiasm to achieve goals.
Responsibilities

Daily, you will support your assigned customer with various payment tasks, including complex, ad hoc, scheduled payments, payroll, and overseas transactions. You will ensure daily bank reconciliations and accurate, timely reporting to maintain system integrity. You will also engage in reports and hedging analysis, along with detailed month-end reporting and reconciliation. Collaboration with other departments and providing excellent internal service are also key aspects of the role.

  • Accurate daily recording of all bank transactions into the cash book for reconciliation.
  • Conduct daily FX analysis.
  • Manage the preparation of domestic, overseas, and intercompany payments.
  • Promote internal controls and best practices within the function, SSC, and to all SSC customers.
  • Record all intergroup current account movements accurately.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and reports.

While we cannot promise to accommodate every request during recruitment, we promise to listen.

If you meet our criteria, we will contact you to discuss your experience and learn more about you. We look forward to hearing from you!
