Job summary

Lincolnshire Police is seeking a Case Officer to join the Serious & Organised Crime Unit in the Lincolnshire area. You will support investigations, manage evidence, and prepare case files to drive effective prosecutions in partnership with officers and agencies.

The successful candidate will have PIP1/PIP2 training, strong administrative experience, and a solid understanding of data protection and evidential standards. This role is office-based with a focus on public service and accountability.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is required.
• PIP 1 or PIP 2 trained.
• Experience in high-quality administration service.
• Familiarity with confidential and sensitive material.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Gathering and managing evidence, particularly digital, audio, and visual materials.
• Preparing and developing case files for PIP1 and PIP2 investigations.
• Ensuring compliance with the Victims' Code of Practise, offering timely updates and support to victims.
• Submitting initial court files to the Crown Prosecution Service and ensuring adherence to evidential standards.
• Collaborating with investigating officers to obtain necessary evidence as per post-charge action plans.
• Liaising with various agencies to gather evidence and share information efficiently.
• Maintaining continuity of evidence in accordance with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Case Officer, you will be at the forefront of investigations, providing essential support to investigating officers. Your duties will include:
