Job summary

Bridgwater & Taunton College is seeking a Carpentry Technician to support the Construction department by preparing and maintaining carpentry environments in our well-equipped workshops. The role requires carpentry experience and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

You will contribute to teaching, learning and assessment and benefit from hybrid working arrangements, a generous pension, and other staff benefits. Training on machinery will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry or woodworking.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of carpentry tools and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organise Carpentry practical environments in workshops.
• Maintain and develop learning materials and resources for Carpentry.
• Support teaching, learning and assessment in the Construction department.
