Job summary

NTC Building Ltd. in Cheshire area offers an Apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery (Level 2) to kick start a career in construction. You will learn first and second fix joinery while working on real projects, under supervision, and with on-site training.

The programme covers roofs, windows/doors, flooring, walls, architraves and more, with progression to potential full-time roles after completion. Working week is Monday to Friday 8.30am–5pm.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C+ or higher preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Good organisational and numerical skills are required.
• Ability to work well in a team and with customers.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Duties include:

Learn and develop skills in all aspects of first and second fix joinery, including:

• Building traditional roofs
• Installing windows and doors
• Laying floor joists and boards
• Erecting stud walls and hanging doors
• Fitting architraves, skirting boards, door frames and linings
• Master the use of handheld and power tools such as drills, saws, routers, and laser levelling devices
• Follow technical plans and instructions to complete high-quality work
• Collaborate with colleagues and customers to deliver exceptional results

Training Outcome

After completion of your apprenticeship you will potentially have the opportunity to progress onto full-time positions within the business.
