East Suffolk Council is recruiting a Carpenter/UPVC Fitter to join the Housing Building Maintenance team in Lowestoft. You will repair and refurbish Council homes, focusing on carpentry and UPVC components, while delivering high-quality workmanship and responsive tenant service.

The role includes participation in the out-of-hours emergency rota, with a 37-hour week and a permanent contract. A full UK driving licence and NVQ2 in Carpentry are required.

Qualifications

• Fully skilled Carpenter with proven experience in carpentry repairs, maintenance and refurbishment.
• Experience repairing/replacing UPVC components.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and safe working practices.

Responsabilités

• Carry out carpentry repairs, maintenance and refurbishment in Council homes.
• Repair/replace UPVC components (windows/locks).
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants.
• Join out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
