Role Summary

Undertake responsive and routine repairs and void repairs to Portsmouth City Council’s (PCC) Housing and Corporate Assets stock, supporting other maintenance contracts as needed.

Work across PCC’s property portfolio including Social Housing, Schools, Public Conveniences, Offices, Heritage, and Museums.

Use your skills, knowledge, and training to ensure high-quality workmanship, health & safety, and compliance with company processes and procedures.

Maintain professionalism and high customer service standards when dealing with clients, colleagues, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of carpentry repairs in occupied and vacant properties, including fitting doors, first and second fixing, kitchen installations, wall and floor tiling, and asbestos removal (training provided).
Qualifications Required
  • NVQ Level 2-3 in Carpentry or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience in social housing or building maintenance preferred
Additional Requirements

A full, clean driving license is essential to operate company vans.
