Carpenter / Multi Trader – Social Housing Reactive Maintenance

Location: Gloucester and surrounding areas

Salary: £38,000–£41,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are recruiting an experienced Carpenter / Multi Trader to carry out reactive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties in Gloucester and the surrounding areas.

This role would suit a skilled carpenter with experience across other trades who takes pride in delivering quality repairs and a professional, friendly service to residents.

The role

• Carrying out carpentry repairs, including doors, frames, skirting, architraves, kitchen unitsect
• Completing additional maintenance tasks such as minor plumbing, tiling, patch plastering and decorating, depending on your skills.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently, aiming for a first-time fix wherever possible.
• Working in occupied properties, treating residents and their homes with care and respect.
• Recording completed work accurately and following health and safety procedures.

What we’re looking for

• A strong carpentry background, with experience working as a Carpenter / Multi Trader.
• The ability to carry out basic repairs across other trades.
• Previous experience in social housing repairs or domestic property maintenance.
• A relevant carpentry qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
• A full UK driving licence.

Salary

£38,000–£41,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
