Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a skilled Multi-Trade Operative (Carpentry & Plumbing) to join our Commercial Services team in Bracknell. You will perform responsive repairs across carpentry, plumbing, and masonry, while ensuring compliance with building regs and safety standards.

You will use mobile tech to record progress and materials, manage van stock, and participate in an out-of-hours rota. A valid driving license and DBS clearance are required, and the role supports residents across our property

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade, or significant time-served experience in carpentry, masonry, and/or plumbing.
• Full, clean driving license.
• Ability to pass DBS check (employer-funded).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality responsive repairs across carpentry, plumbing, and masonry tasks.
• Comply with building regs, health and safety legislation, and industry best practices.
• Maintain relationships with customers and keep them informed throughout the repair process.
• Record job progress, timesheets, and material usage using mobile devices.
• Manage van stock and procure materials from approved suppliers for first-time fixes.
• Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment in good order.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless service for residents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality responsive repairs across a wide range of carpentry, plumbing, and masonry tasks, both internally and externally.
• Ensure all work complies with building regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry best practices.
• Act as a professional ambassador, maintaining positive relationships with customers and keeping them fully informed throughout the repair process.
• Use mobile technology (smartphones/tablets) to accurately record job progress, timesheets, and material usage.
• Manage your van stock efficiently and procure materials through approved suppliers to ensure a first-time-fix service.
• Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment in excellent working order.
• Collaborate with other team members to support a seamless service for our residents.

Qualifications
