Job summary

Randstad CPE seeks a Multi-Trade Operative to perform carpentry, plumbing and masonry repairs across residential properties on-site. You will be the face of our responsive repairs service, delivering quality workmanship and clear communication to residents.

You will record progress on mobile devices, manage van stock, and take part in an on-call rota. NVQ2 or equivalent, a full driving licence, and DBS clearance are required to join our team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in carpentry, plumbing, or masonry is required.
• Experience across non-core trades is beneficial.
• Full, clean driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to pass DBS check funded by employer.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality responsive repairs across carpentry, plumbing, and masonry tasks, both internally and externally.
• Ensure all work complies with building regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry best practices.
• Act as a professional ambassador, maintaining positive relationships with customers and keeping them informed throughout the repair process.
• Use mobile technology to accurately record job progress, timesheets, and material usage.
• Manage van stock efficiently and procure materials through approved suppliers to ensure a first-time-fix service.
• Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment in excellent working order.
• Collaborate with other team members to support a seamless service for our residents.

• Physical capability to undertake demanding trade work.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to upholding organizational values.
• Ability to pass a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (funded by the employer).
