Job summary
Think Recruitment are recruiting a Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative for responsive repairs in Basingstoke and surrounding areas. The role covers social housing properties, with duties spanning carpentry, basic plumbing and patch plastering. A van and fuel card are provided; the position is temporary to permanent.
The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills, experience in occupied properties, and a full UK driving licence. NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 in Carpentry is desirable.
Qualifications
- Experience in responsive repairs as a carpenter multi-trade operative.
- Experience in social housing or occupied properties.
- Strong carpentry skills with basic plumbing and patch plastering.
Responsibilities
- Carry out responsive repairs across social housing properties.
- Complete carpentry repairs to doors, frames, locks, handles, skirting boards and other timber fixtures.
- Undertake repairs to kitchen units, worktops and flooring.
- Carry out basic plumbing repairs (taps, toilets, leaks, waste pipes).
- Patch plastering and minor making-good work.
- Diagnose faults and ensure high-standard repairs.
- Communicate professionally with tenants and keep areas clean and safe.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
