Job summary

Aster Group is seeking a qualified carpenter for positions in Wiltshire. You will perform carpentry tasks in customers' homes, including fitting units, worktops, doors and tiling, while also handling tasks across related trades. A valid UK driving licence and a company van are provided.

You will work in a team, using a PDA to manage stock and report progress, ensuring high customer satisfaction and safe working practices. DBS checks apply as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of another trade, ideally plumbing or plastering.
• Confident IT user; PDA; manage van stock electronically.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry works in customers' homes, including fitting kitchen units, worktops, plinths, doors, bath panels and tiling.
• Execute multi-trade tasks and supporting trades such as plumbing or plastering where needed.
• Work at height using ladders and platforms; ensure safety and quality in all tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service and collaborate with other trades to complete jobs.

Salary: £39,784 per annum

Location: Wiltshire

Hours: 37 hours per week

Are you a qualified carpenter looking for a change of scene? Our team in Wiltshire are looking for you!

What you’ll be doing

You've probably guessed, and you're right, you'll be completing carpentry works including fitting kitchen units, kitchen worktops, plinths, wall tiling, bath panels, hang doors (both internal and external), fitting grab rails and shower seats when required, and any other works associated with normal carpentry. As this is a multi-trade role, you will also complete tasks and have a working knowledge of other trades - ideally in plumbing or plastering.

You will at times be required to work at height from ladders, tower working platforms and mobile elevated work platforms.

You'll be working in our customer's homes, so you'll have a customer service focus with an inquisitive mind to get to the bottom of the problems. You'll work in a team of trades so there'll always be someone available to support you.

About you

You'll have a carpentry qualification, NVQ or equivalent, alongside working knowledge of another trade - ideally plumbing or plastering.

You'll need to be a confident user of IT, your work is shared via a PDA, and you'll need to control & manage your van stock electronically.

You'll be working in a team of other trades on response and repairs, delivering excellent customer service working together to improve our customers' homes. Teamwork and collaboration are essential to get the job done and ensure customer satisfaction.

You'll be working with a variety of teams and communicating with them regularly, so you'll be confident in managing expectations of both internal and external customers.

We will supply a company vehicle to get you around, so you'll need a full, UK manual driving licence and be comfortable travelling to and around Wiltshire.
