Job summary

Sovereign Network Group is seeking an experienced Carpenter Multi for our Property Team in the Newbury, Thatcham & Reading locality. You will perform 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, window/door installation, UPVC servicing and related maintenance across our housing stock.

The role is full-time (40 hrs/wk) with a company van and fuel card, plus overtime opportunities. A valid driving licence and NVQ2 or 5+ years carpentry experience are required to join a safety‑minded, team‑oriented Repairs Team.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 carpentry or 5+ years proven carpentry experience.
• Strong health and safety awareness and practices.
• Team player with ability to travel and drive a manual vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all forms of carpentry repairs in our properties as part of Repairs Team.
• 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry; install windows, doors and frames.
• Kitchen fitting, basic plumbing, plastering, tiling and other maintenance tasks.

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced/qualified Carpenter Multi to join our Property Team in our Newbury, Thatcham & Reading locality. As you’ll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you’ll not be out of pocket.

What you’ll do:

As a Carpenter you will carry out all forms of carpentry repairs in our properties as part ofour Repairs Teamand elsewhere depending on demands.

• 1stfix and 2ndfix carpentry
• Install windows, doors, door frames - Internal and external.
• UPVC servicing andinstallation
• Locksmithing and gaining entry via lock snapping, drilling and picking.
• All types of fencing, posts, feather edge, chain link and panels.
• Kitchen fitting, kitchen building and minor joinery
• Other duties to include basic plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasks

What you’ll need:

• You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 OR have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working in carpentry.
• Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.

This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates to enhance your earnings!

Due to therequirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive and take

home the Company Van.
