Morgan Sindall Property Services in Basildon are recruiting a Carpenter/Joiner for permanent, full-time work across social housing properties in Essex. You’ll perform repairs, maintenance and void works, with duties spanning joinery, tiling, kitchen and bathroom fittings.

A hands-on role using handheld devices, with training provided, and an out‑of‑hours rota. Applicants should hold a full UK driving licence and a CSCS card (desirable), with C&G Craft or NVQ Level 2/3 in Joinery/Carpentry.

42.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00, half hour lunch

Looking for a stable, permanent role with a leading construction company?

We're recruiting an experienced Carpenter / Joiner to join our team in Basildon, carrying out repairs, maintenance and void works across social housing properties throughout Essex.

About the Role

Working to deliver the highest quality service, you'll carry out responsive and planned repairs to both occupied and void properties. Duties will include a variety of trade repairs and maintenance work such as minor plumbing, joinery, tiling, kitchen and bathroom fitting within a social housing setting.

You'll receive and complete assigned tasks using a handheld device (full training provided), working efficiently and safely in line with best practice to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Please note that participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota is required. There is no regular weekend working associated with this role.

About You

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Carpenter / Joiner who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. You'll be confident working independently, following drawings and instructions, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You'll have previous experience carrying out a range of joinery and carpentry works within a construction, repairs or maintenance environment. As a reliable and professional tradesperson, you'll be committed to delivering a right-first-time service and maintaining high standards of quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
