TXM Recruit is seeking a skilled carpenter to join an award-winning organization on a long-term temp-to-perm contract near Shefford. The role involves carpentry and fabric repairs, with tasks including hanging doors, building fabric maintenance, fitting kitchen units, and snagging.

This position offers an immediate start with hours from Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week and a competitive rate of £17.98 per hour. After 12 weeks, you may transition to a permanent full-time position with an annual salary of £37,398.40.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ qualifications in carpentry & joinery.

Qualifications

• NVQ trade qualification(s) in carpentry & joinery or equivalent.
• CSCS Card is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Complete carpentry and fabric repairs.
• Hang doors and maintain building fabric.
• Fit kitchen units and replace skirting boards.
• Handle snagging tasks.

Job description

TXM Recruit is working in partnership with an award-winning organisation on an exciting new project on a large static site near Shefford, on a long-term temp‑to‑perm contract.

The successful candidate will be required to complete carpentry and fabric repairs at a large static site near Shefford. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Hanging doors.
• Building fabric maintenance
• Fitting kitchen units.
• Skirting board replacements
• Snagging

Immediate start.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

Pay: £17.98 per hour PAYE – 12 week contract. Upon completion of 12 weeks, you will be offered a permanent position full‑time with the company. £37,398.40 per annum.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• NVQ trade qualification(s) in carpentry & joinery or equivalent.
• CSCS Card (desirable)
