Job summary

ITS Building People are seeking a skilled 2nd Fix Carpenter for a residential project in Sheerness, Kent. Own tools and transport are required; CSCS card and EL1 clearance are essential to start. The role is a temporary placement with a start date of 21/09/2026 and a duration of 1 week, on-site with site-specific safety requirements.

You will perform 2nd fix carpentry, including signage and skirting, work safely, and maintain quality workmanship to meet deadlines. References available on request.

Job description:

2nd Fix Carpenter required for a residential project. ITS Building people are looking for an experienced and hardworking 2nd Fix Carpenter to assist our client with a project based in Sheerness, Kent. Own transport required.

Daily responsibilities will include:

• Carry out 2nd Fix Carpentry including Signange & Skirting
• Work safely and efficiently on construction sites, following all health and safety requirements.
• Maintain good quality workmanship while meeting project deadlines and schedules.

Requirements for the role

• Own tools & transport
• EL1 Clearance
• Previous Carpentry experience
• References upon request
• You should have your own high vis jacket or vest, gloves and hard hat. These can be provided by ITS Building People for a small fee.

Training/Progression opportunities:

• There may be opportunities to acquire additional qualifications with this role on Health and Safety, machinery and traffic management
