Job summary

ITS Building People in Brighton, East Sussex, require a 1st Fix Carpenter for a residential project starting immediately. You should have previous carpentry experience, own tools and transport, and be able to provide references on request.

Daily duties include constructing stud walls, joists, flooring and door frames from drawings, measuring and fitting timber and sheet materials, and maintaining safety on site to meet deadlines.

Temporary contract for 1 week with a daily rate of 200–210 GBP.

1ST Fix Carpenter required for a residential project. ITS Building people are looking for an experienced and hardworking 1st Fix Carpenter to assist our client with a project based in Brighton, East Sussex. Own transport required.

Daily responsibilities will include:

• Carry out 1st fix carpentry including stud walls, joists, flooring, roof structures and door frames.
• Read and work accurately from technical drawings and specifications.
• Measure, cut and install timber and sheet materials to a high standard.
• Work safely and efficiently on construction sites, following all health and safety requirements.
• Maintain good quality workmanship while meeting project deadlines and schedules.

Requirements for the role

• References upon request
• You should have your own high vis jacket or vest, gloves and hard hat. These can be provided by ITS Building People for a small fee.

Rate of Pay

Where a range of rate of pay is quoted the level of experience, qualifications & related training required is the minimum required in order to qualify for the lowest rate of pay quoted.
