Job summary

VGC Group are recruiting a Carpenter for a project based in Brograve, Norfolk. Start date ASAP. 4-6 weeks. Pay rate £21.25 per hour PAYE. Lodge and travel not available.

Qualifications

• CSCS card is required.
• CPCS card is required.
• Previous experience as a carpenter or similar role is preferred.
• Good work ethic and reliability are essential.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team.
• Punctuality and reliability are important.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans to determine formwork dimensions and layout.
• Construct formwork by cutting, shaping, and joining materials.
• Install formwork securely in the correct position using tools.
• Apply release agents to surfaces for easy removal.
• Collaborate with concrete workers and site supervisors to ensure timely installation, pouring, and removal.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Reading and interpreting construction plans to determine the required dimensions, shape, and layout of the formwork.
• Constructing the formwork using materials by cutting, shaping, and joining the components.
• Installing the formwork securely in the designated position, using tools and equipment.
• Applying release agents or formwork oil to the surfaces in contact with the concrete to facilitate easy removal of the formwork.
• Collaborating with other construction professionals like concrete workers and site supervisors to ensure the timely and accurate installation, pouring, and removal of the formwork.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A valid CSCS Card
• CPCS Card
• Previous experience in this role or similar
• A good work ethic and positive attitude
• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Good punctuality and reliability
