Job summary

Tech People in London (Trafalgar Square) is seeking an experienced 2nd Fix Carpenter to work on a large-scale fire door repair project. The role focuses on repairing and remediating existing fire doors, with no installation work required, on a substantial site with strict safety standards.

The ideal candidate has several years of carpentry experience, a Blue CSCS Card, and a strong eye for detail. The position runs for 3–6 months, with PAYE pay at £23.07 per hour and holiday pay/pension included.

Job Title: Carpenter - Fire Door Repairs

Location: Trafalgar Square, London

Hours: 07:00am - 16:00pm

Pay: 23.07 per hour PAYE

Duration: 3-6 months

Role & Responsibilities

We are currently looking for an experienced 2nd Fix Carpenter to work on a large-scale fire door repair project in Trafalgar Square.

• Repair and remediate existing fire doors - no installation work required
• Approximately 1,110 fire doors requiring repairs
• Carry out work to a high standard with excellent attention to detail
• Work efficiently while maintaining health, safety and quality standards
• Previous experience with fire door repairs is highly desirable

Requirements

• Blue CSCS Card
• Several years of relevant carpentry experience
• Strong experience as a 2nd Fix Carpenter
• Experience repairing fire doors
• Own 5-point PPE
• Own tools
• Excellent attention to detail
• Reliable and professional approach
