Job summary

Randstad Cpe London is seeking an experienced Workshop Carpenter to join our Track Workshops team on the night shift only, in West Kensington. This manufacturing role focuses on producing high-quality timber components and bespoke items from engineering drawings.

Candidates should be hands-on with woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools, able to read technical drawings, and have workshop carpentry experience. Overtime is available; this is a long-term position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in workshop carpentry with timber products.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
• Experience using woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent joinery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture timber components and bespoke items from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to guide production.
• Operate woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools in a workshop setting.
• Maintain high quality and accuracy in finished products.
• Strictly hands-on workshop manufacturing with no shuttering carpentry.

Workshop Carpenter

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Carpenter to join our Track Workshops team, night shift only.

This is a manufacturing role, producing high-quality timber components and bespoke items from engineering drawings and specifications. This is not a shuttering carpentry position, please only apply if your experience is Workshop Carpentry only.

Location: West Kensington

Shifts: Night Shift only 2300 - 0630am Monday to Friday. Overtime is available.

Rate: Umbrella £52.15 o/t £65.27, PAYE - £40.00 o/t £48.05

Duration: Long term

Key requirements:

• Proven experience as a workshop carpenter, manufacturing timber products.
• Skilled in using woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
• Experience producing accurate joints, machining timber and assembling finished products.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent workshop carpentry/joinery experience preferred.
• Full UK driving licence desirable.

Please note: We are looking for candidates with hands-on workshop manufacturing experience. This role is focused on making and repairing not installing.
