Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is seeking a Carpenter for reactive repairs around Swindon, covering occupied social housing as part of a response team. You'll undertake door repairs and related carpentry, plus multi-trade tasks, dealing with residents professionally and keeping workloads under control.

The role pays £23 per hour plus a company van and fuel, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am–5pm. There is a temp-to-perm route after 16 weeks, with a permanent salary of £36,000–£38,000.

Qualifications

• Strong carpentry experience.
• Experience as a Carpenter in reactive repairs or maintenance.
• Social housing experience preferred; similar domestic maintenance considered.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• Background in reactive repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to work quickly and independently.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
• DBS - if you don't currently have one, this can be arranged.
• Availability to start quickly.
