Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. is recruiting a Personal Support Worker to help a 7-year-old boy with autism who is non-verbal in Morpeth. This part-time role focuses on patient, engaging support during home and community activities.

You will assist with personal care, play, outings, and building a trusting relationship, while ensuring safety. A full UK driving license and access to a car are advantageous; hours include 4 hours weekly in holidays and 2 hours weekly in term-time. Training in safeguarding is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with disabilities or autism.
• Willingness to provide personal care as required.
• Calm, patient and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support a non-verbal 7-year-old boy in home and community activities.
• Engage in play, sensory activities, and age-appropriate leisure.
• Ensure safety and supervise during outings and at home.
