Job summary

Orders of St. John Care Trust is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our caring and friendly catering team in our home. You will help prepare meals and drinks for residents, while learning with on‑the‑job training and maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards.

You’ll engage with residents to understand their preferences, supporting warm, personalised mealtimes. No formal catering experience is required, though a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be helpful.

Qualifications

• No prior formal catering experience required; training will be provided.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be helpful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing meals, snacks and drinks for residents.
