Job summary

Care UK in Leeds is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support daily meal preparation for residents, maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure safe storage of dry and perishable goods. You will assist with vegetable prep, sandwich making, and keeping utensils clean to high standards.

The role includes the Care UK Catering Academy for training and induction, with development opportunities and access to apprenticeship schemes, wellbeing support, and employee discounts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and related areas
• Preparation of produce for mealtime, for example vegetable preparation and making of sandwiches
• Ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable produce
• Safely storing cleaning materials
• Ensure all cooking utensils and pots are cleaned to the required standards
• Carry out any tasks assigned by the Head / Second Chef or Home Manager
