Job summary

Amberley Hall Care Home is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Head Chef and deliver a high-quality dining experience for residents. You will assist with meal service, maintain hygiene, and keep dining areas clean and stocked.

The role involves a 40-hour week on a rota, including weekends, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour and a comprehensive induction plus holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment, ideally within a care environment but not essential.
• NVQ Level 2 in Food Hygiene is desirable.
• Reliable with excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Computer literacy with basic Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef to ensure high standard catering and residential dining.
• Assist with meal service, ensuring dietary requirements are met and areas are clean and stocked.
• Engage with residents in conversation and meaningful activities.
• Ensure Health & Safety and Food Safety practices are followed.
