Job summary

Bupa's St Mark's Care Home in Maidenhead is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our team in delivering high-quality meals for residents across nursing and dementia care settings.

You will assist chefs, plate meals, keep preparation areas clean, and help with stock control and catering for events, under COSHH and HACCP guidelines, contributing to a home where residents feel at home and well cared for.

Qualifications

• A passion for food with previous kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• You want to deliver an excellent service at each meal and make residents feel at home.
• Understand the importance of maintaining high standards in and around the home.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs to plate meals, prep food trolleys and keep prep areas clean.
• Monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Support catering for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
