Job summary

Cinnamon Care Collection is seeking flexible Kitchen Assistants for Sutton Park Grange, a 56-bed residential and dementia care home in Sutton Coldfield, to join the Catering team on an on-call basis. You will cover annual leave and ad hoc sickness, with advance rotas and opportunities for training.

The Kitchen Assistant supports all catering functions, assists with food preparation, dishwashing and maintaining kitchen hygiene to meet health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Physically and medically able to carry out duties.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload under pressure.
• Energetic, passionate and proactive attitude.
• Awareness of COSHH and CQC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef, Chef and catering team to deliver all catering services across the home.
• Prepare nutritional food and beverages to a high standard as directed and at agreed mealtimes.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in kitchen and storage areas per food hygiene regulations.
• Prepare special diet meals as needed and as directed by Head Chef.
• Provide feedback on complaints from residents or others and report to Head Chef.
• Support cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste.
