Job summary

The Springs Care Home in Malvern, operated by Bupa, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant on a bank/zero-hour contract. You will support the kitchen team, assist with plating meals, and ensure a friendly dining experience for residents. The role requires a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and prior kitchen experience.

You will work with care home colleagues, maintain clean prep areas, and may take part in special events. DBS check and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in a kitchen and delivering good meals to residents is preferred.
• Ability to work with care home teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with plating meals and preparing food trolleys.
• Keep preparation areas clean and tidy.
• Monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH/HACCP policies.
• Support catering for events and residents' dining experience.
