Job summary

Bupa Richmond Villages Letcombe Regis is seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant to support chefs by keeping the kitchen clean, organized and safe. You will help prepare simple meals, wash dishes, and ensure supplies are properly stored in line with HACCP.

The role emphasizes health and safety; ideally you hold a CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and have experience in catering or a care environment. Flexible bank shifts with paid breaks are available.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Health and Safety and HACCP principles.
• CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in catering, kitchen or care environment is advantageous.
• Able to work in a team and independently while staying organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple meals and ancillary items under the Chef's direction.
• Wash dishes by hand or in the dishwasher and store items safely.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, keep surfaces clean and hygienic.
• Operate kitchen equipment and transfer between storage and work areas.
• Maintain tidy, secure kitchen and manage waste and supplies.
