Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, dedicated Kitchen Assistant for Priory Court Care Home in Stamford. You will support food preparation, ensure high hygiene standards and maintain a clean kitchen area to safeguard residents' meals and beverages.

The role requires Basic Food Hygiene certification, knowledge of safety practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment while showing care and respect for residents and their visitors.

Qualifications

  • Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrates high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
  • Be an efficient worker, capable of a high level of sustained physical effort and able to respond to a demanding workload.
  • Demonstrate initiative and display a positive and flexible aptitude to team working.
  • Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards the residents.

Responsibilities

  • Support cooking and food preparation while maintaining a clean kitchen environment to ensure safe food handling.
  • Contribute to team working and respond positively to colleagues and instructions.
  • Advise on supply and quality of items used, and arrange timely replacement of goods.
  • Act with respect towards residents and their visitors, upholding dignity and individuality.
