Job summary

Swissport International AG is seeking a Cargo Warehouse Agent based at Cardiff Airport. You will organise warehouse storage facilities and arrange handling equipment to load/unload air cargo, while maintaining safety and SOP compliance.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading cargo, preparing pallets, processing paperwork, and ensuring accurate handling and delivery. You may handle live animals and operate specialist equipment, while adhering to DG Regulations and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Flexible to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Ability to travel to the airport when public transport is not available.
• Ability to follow processes and procedures and adapt as needed.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather.
• Able to lift up to 32 kg repeatedly during a shift.
• Able to work in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous aviation experience is desirable.

• Following Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations.
• Delivering air cargo to appropriate recipients if required.
• Providing special handling of live animals as required.
• Operating specialist equipment such as vans, forklifts, cargo dollies/trailers.
• Reporting equipment malfunctions to the supervisor/manager.
• Complying with airport security requirements and SOPs.
• Maintaining high safety and security standards at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Youwill organize warehouse and storage facilities and arrange warehouse handling equipment and load/unload air cargo. You will maintain the required safety and quality standards as well as comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company policies.

• Complying with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)


• Maintaining the highest standards of safety and security at all times


• Other duties as assigned
