Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services at Stansted is recruiting a cargo screener to join our security team. You will perform x-ray screening of cargo items and support incident response, reporting to Security Managers.

The role requires strict adherence to Aviation Security procedures, and training in line with CAA standards. You will help meet throughput targets set by the DfT and Security Management Team, while contributing to continual improvement and your own development.

Qualifications

• Must have a 5 year UK checkable history.
• Background checks required by aviation security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out x-ray duties of all items wishing to enter cargo.
• Respond to emergency incidents following the approved procedures.
• Maintain a log of all incidents and provide written and verbal reports to Security Managers and Security Supervision.
• Be compliant with Aviation Security local operating procedures, working practices and protocols.
• Undertake Mandatory Training as stipulated by the company, in compliance with CAA standards.
• Meet compliance and throughput targets as stipulated by the DfT, CAA and the Security Management Team.
• Participate in continual improvement and own self development.
• Utilise equipment only as trained.
• Achieve an acceptable level of competence measured through performance evaluations.
• Demonstrate the positive behaviours required to support the Mitie Brand Values.
