Job summary

Alfred H Knight in Liverpool, UK, is seeking a Cargo Superintendent to supervise cargo discharge/loadings and monitor client storage locations. The role includes sampling and sample preparation duties as part of the Drax contract team, with a flexible shift pattern of 182 hours per month.

Travel between AHK locations and occasional overnight stays are required. Ideal candidates will have shipping/ports sector experience, excellent communication and IT skills, strong organisational abilities, and

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly inform others.
• Excellent administrative skills with experience of writing reports.
• Strong relationship building skills internally and externally.
• Highly motivated, with the ability to work on own initiative in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities.
• Valid Clean UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the discharge (or loading) of cargoes and monitor client storage locations.
• Work within the Drax contract team to undertake cargo sampling (mechanical and manual) and sample preparation.
• Travel between AHK locations to support the business needs, including overnight stays when necessary.
