Job summary

Freightliner Group Ltd in Southampton is seeking a Cargo Handler to join the team at Dock Gate 10. You will load and unload cargo, use the Vehicle Booking System and ensure safety is paramount while following company procedures.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Experience operating counterbalance forklift and banksman duties.
• Experience loading and unloading cargo to customer requirements.
• Commitment to health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely secure and handle cargo, loading export containers and unloading import containers.
• Inspect containers before export and on arrival to ensure damage-free and compliant with standards.
• Complete all documentation accurately and within required timescales.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health and safety.
• Use tools, machinery and PPE correctly and follow risk assessments.
