Job summary

CitySprint is seeking a Cargo Bike Mechanic in London to maintain and repair our cargo bike fleet, carry out routine servicing, diagnose faults and keep critical records. The role supports the Cargo Bike Manager and involves on-site and field work to keep operations safe, compliant and efficient.

This hands-on position requires practical mechanical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to minimize downtime and keep riders moving.

Qualifications

• Experience in bicycle maintenance within a professional workshop, bike shop or cargo bike operation.
• Strong mechanical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of bicycle servicing, repairs and fault diagnosis.
• Experience working with hydraulic brakes and wheel building/truing would be advantageous.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
• A proactive and organised approach to managing workload and priorities.
• Commitment to maintaining safe working practices and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine maintenance, servicing and repairs on cargo bikes and e-bikes.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Supporting the management of workshop facilities, tools and spare parts stock.
• Monitoring the condition and charging of e-bike batteries.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records for the fleet.
• Supporting rider safety by ensuring bikes remain roadworthy and compliant.
• Working with operational teams to keep fleet availability at the required levels.
• Following health and safety and compliance requirements within the workshop, battery charging area and garage.

Location: London (Office based)

Salary: £28,835

Hours: 40 Hours per week

Shifts: Monday to Friday. Shifts will be between 10 am - 7 pm

The role

As a Cargo Bike Mechanic, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our cargo bike fleet to ensure our operations run safely and efficiently. You'll support the Cargo Bike Manager by carrying out routine servicing, diagnosing faults, and completing repairs both on-site and in the field.

This is a hands-on role where technical expertise, attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential. You'll play a key part in keeping our riders moving and ensuring our fleet remains safe, compliant and operational.
