Job summary

Church Stretton School is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our site team on site at Church Stretton. The successful candidate will work under supervision to provide general maintenance and caretaking support across the school site, ensuring premises are safe, secure, clean, well-maintained and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.

You will perform tasks ranging from locking and unlocking buildings to minor repairs and improvements as needed, contributing to a secure and tidy school

Responsibilities

• Lock / unlock school buildings and areas.
• Carry out maintenance duties to ensure upkeep according to the school's schedule.
• Maintain satisfactory levels of caretaking, cleanliness and hygiene across the premises.
• Undertake minor repairs such as plumbing, changing light bulbs, unblocking drains.
• Carry out minor improvements like erecting shelves, notice boards, bookshelves, as agreed with the Headteacher.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Caretaker to join our site team at Church Stretton School.

The successful candidate will work under the instruction and guidance ofappropriate seniorstaff to provide general maintenance and caretaking support across the school site. Thisisan important rolein helping to ensure that the school premises are safe, secure, clean, well-maintained and welcoming for students,staffand visitors.

Main Duties

• Lock / unlock school buildings and areas.

• To carry out various maintenance duties to ensure that the general upkeep and maintenance of the premises is satisfactory, as per specific schedule for your school.

• Ensure that satisfactory levels of caretaking, cleanliness and hygiene are achieved and maintained through the whole of the premises.

• Undertake minor / simple repairs e.g. minor plumbing, changing light bulbs, unblocking drains.

• To carry out minor improvement work e.g. erecting shelves, notice boards, bookshelves etc. as agreed with the Headteacher.
