Job summary

Student Roost is seeking a caretaker at Merchant Apartments in Glasgow. You will be responsible for maintenance tasks, assisting with repairs, and coordinating with contractors to resolve issues within the building.

A key part of the role is ensuring health, safety, and compliance reporting are carried out accurately. The position is a part-time role with an average of 18.75 hours per week, working 4 days out of 7, between 8am and 8pm.

• Experience in building maintenance and daily upkeep.
• Attention to health and safety procedures.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general building maintenance and small repairs.
• Escort third-party contractors to issues within the building.
• Lead on compliance checks with accurate reporting.

Location: Merchant Apartments, Glasgow Salary: £ 13,113.75 per annum (£13.45 per hour)

Hours: Average of 18.75 hours per week, working 4 days out of 7, 8am to 8pm.

• A People Person - friendly, approachable, and great at building relationships.
• Confident providing exceptional resident experience through tackling maintenance head on
• A team player who thrives in a supportive and collaborative environment.
• Tech savvy - ability to learn new systems quickly and comfortable using mobile apps to process information
• Organised and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills.
• Comfortable with following process, with a dedication to Health and Safety
• Resilient, with the ability to get stuck in with messy jobs such as drain blockages and bin store management.
• Solutions orientated, with the ability to think on your feet.
• Electrical training will be provided however any additional maintenance qualifications are welcomed, but not essential.
