Job summary

TLTP Education is recruiting for a Caretaker / Site Manager in Barnet, North London. The role involves supporting the day-to-day running of a primary school site and ensuring a safe, secure and well-maintained environment for pupils and staff.

The successful candidate will be practical, proactive and able to carry out general maintenance tasks while coordinating with contractors and school leadership. ASAP start, Monday to Friday, long-term full-time role through agency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caretaker or facilities role is desirable.
• Practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and repairs.
• Strong health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the school site is safe, secure and well maintained.
• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and basic DIY tasks.
• Complete daily checks of the school buildings and grounds.
• Open and secure the school site as required.
• Monitor and report any maintenance, health and safety or security issues.
• Liaise with contractors and external services when required.
• Support with deliveries, moving furniture and setting up rooms.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the school site and grounds.
• Ensure site procedures and health and safety requirements are followed.
• Respond promptly to any site-related issues that arise during the school day.
• Work closely with the school leadership and administrative team.

Caretaker / Site Manager - About You
