Job summary

KFC Youth Foundation in Middlesbrough is seeking two reliable, practical Caretaker & Facilities Assistants to keep our Youth Hub clean, safe, secure and welcoming for young people, community groups and partners who use it.

This role combines cleaning, caretaking, building security and routine health and safety checks. You’ll help ensure the Hub is ready for everyone, open and close the building, and report any maintenance needs with responsibility and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning, caretaking, facilities or a similar practical role.
• Happy to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the building.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the Hub to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Carry out caretaking and building security duties as required.
• Perform routine health and safety checks and promptly report issues.

This is a varied role combining cleaning, caretaking, building security and routine health and safety checks. You'll help make sure the Hub is ready for everyone who walks through the doors - from maintaining high standards of cleanliness to opening and closing the building, carrying out safety checks and spotting and reporting anything that needs attention.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is comfortable working independently and can be trusted to take responsibility for the building. You'll need previous experience in cleaning, caretaking, facilities or a similar practical role and be happy to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends.
