Westfield Park Community Centre is a small charity which delivers activities to the residents of the Bog Housing Estate, Westfields and the wider Falkirk community. The Centre was established in 1988 part of the Falkirk council re development scheme. In 2018, the Community Centre became an independent charity and a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).

Our purpose is for the advancement of community development through maintaining and managing a community centre located in the Bog Housing Estate and the provision of recreational facilities, to improve the conditions of life in the community.

The Westfield Park Community Centre Strives to provide a programme of social, recreational and educational activities for the benefit of the people of Westfield, of all backgrounds and ages.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Caretaker and Cleaner at Westfield Park Community Centre. This on-site role is located in Falkirk. The Caretaker and Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the community centre, managing waste disposal, ensuring security of the premises, performing minor repairs, and setting up rooms for events and meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, waste disposal, and maintaining hygiene standards
• Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Skills in ensuring security and managing access control systems
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with community centre users
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Experience in a similar role is a plus
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
