Job summary

Academics Ltd in Blaenau Gwent is seeking a dependable Caretaker to keep the school premises safe, clean and welcoming. The role involves opening and securing the site, carrying out basic repairs, and ensuring a tidy outdoor and indoor environment before pupils arrive and after they depart.

You will work split shifts (6:30am–9:30am and 2:30pm–5:30pm) as part of a full-time pattern, with pay between £15 and £18 per hour depending on experience.

Academics is seeking a dependable and practical individual for a Caretaker position at a local primary school in Blaenau Gwent, starting on 2nd November.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands‑on maintenance skills who takes pride in creating a safe, clean and welcoming school environment. You will help ensure the premises are well‑maintained and ready for pupils, staff and visitors each day.

The Role

Your duties as a Caretaker will include:

• Opening and securing the school premises at designated times.
