Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd is currently seeking a Caretaker to work in Birmingham, based at a hospital. The role includes opening and closing duties, security, and general facilities tasks. Shift pattern is 6am to 7pm on weekdays with potential weekends and overtime.

This temporary contract offers ongoing work with a pay rate of £13 per hour (PAYE). You will contribute to health and safety inspections and support the Facilities team across multiple corporate SMBC sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Open and close corporate buildings at designated times in line with council/business needs.
• Provide cover and support to Facilities team at other SMBC sites as needed.
• Carry out routine Health & Safety inspections and compliance checks across the corporate estate.
• Escalate, report or complete actions as required to ensure security and safety.
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-out procedures and rota.
• Undertake general facilities and security duties.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Caretaker. You will be working in Birmingham. This is based in a hospital.

Shift pattern between 6am - 7pm week days with possible weekend and overtime offer.

Pay rate - £13ph paye

Job Purpose

• To open & close various corporate buildings at designated times in line with the business needs of the Council and to be available for occasional access to buildings out of hours.
• Be able and willing to provide cover and support to the Facilities team at other corporate SMBC sites.
• To carry out routine Health & Safety inspections / compliance checks, ensuring all security systems and procedures are adhered to across the corporate estate. Escalate, report or complete any actions.
• To comply with Health & Safety legislation.
• To participate in out of hours emergency call out procedures and rota.
• To undertake general facilities and security duties.
