Job summary

ROCASA Consulting is seeking a Temporary Caretaker for a housing association based in Tower Hamlets, East London. The role focuses on keeping the building and communal areas clean, safe, secure and well maintained, and you will be on-site daily as the on-ground presence for residents.

The successful candidate will carry out inspections, report issues promptly and liaise with residents in a professional manner. Immediate start available; working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caretaker, estate services, housing or facilities role.
• Good attention to detail.
• Practical and hands-on approach.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.

• Ability to work independently and use initiative.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections of communal areas and the surrounding estate.
• Ensure communal areas, entrances, corridors and stairwells are clean, tidy and presentable.
• Report repairs, maintenance issues, health and safety concerns and any defects.
• Assist with maintaining the security and general upkeep of the building.
• Monitor communal areas and report any issues or incidents appropriately.
• Liaise with residents in a professional and helpful manner.
• Ensure waste and refuse areas are kept clean and well managed.
• Carry out basic caretaking duties and minor tasks where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to the relevant team.
• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.

Contract: Temporary - Immediate start until 18 September

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)

About the Role
