Palterton Primary School is seeking a caretaker to become an essential part of our small, friendly team. The role covers security, cleaning, porterage and maintenance of the school site to ensure a safe, well‑presented environment for children and staff.
The successful candidate will have experience in cleaning and maintenance, take pride in their work, and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

The successful candidate will undertake a range of caretaking duties to the agreed quality standards, including security, cleaning, porterage and maintenance of the school site and premises thereby ensuring a safe working environment.
We are looking for a caretaker who takes pride in their work making the school the best it can be through having experience of cleaning and maintenance requirements as well as having a good level of communication with a variety of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and self motivated being willing to undertake professional development.
