SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL is seeking a reliable Caretaker for St Mary's CE Primary School in Boningale. This part-time role involves opening the site each morning and securing it each evening, with routine site inspections and basic caretaker duties.

Hours are approximately 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening, with flexibility around timings by agreement. Grade 5 SP 07; hourly rate £14.14, resulting in an actual annual salary of £6,333.24.

• Experience as a caretaker is useful.
• Reliability and flexibility are essential.

Responsibilities

• Open the site each morning and check security and safety.
• Close and secure the site each evening.
• Carry out basic caretaker duties and routine site inspections.

Job description

The Governors of St Mary's CE Primary School are seeking to appoint a reliable, proactive and flexible Caretaker to help ensure our school site remains safe, secure and well-presented for our pupils, staff and visitors. This is a part-time position involving the opening and closing of the school site each day, together with routine site inspections and basic caretaker duties. Hours The role consists of:

• Approximately 1 hour each morning to open and check the site
• Approximately 1 hour each evening to secure and close the site We are happy to consider applications from: One person undertaking both the morning and evening sessions,
• Two individuals sharing the role, with one covering mornings and another covering evenings. Flexibility may be available around the exact timings by agreement. Grade 5 Spinal Point 07 hourly rate of £14.14 - Actual Annual Salary £6,333.24
