Job summary

ST HELENS BOROUGH COUNCIL is offering a full-time Careline Officer post based at Hardshaw Brook, Parr, St Helens. The role involves a 37-hour week on a permanent contract with a 15-week rota covering day shifts 7am–7pm and late shifts 7pm–7am.

Applicants must hold a current, clean driving licence and have care environment experience, along with good secondary education (ideally NVQ level 2). You will answer emergency calls and coordinate responses to keep service users independent and safe.

Qualifications

• Current, clean driving licence is essential.
• Experience of working in a care environment is required.
• Good standard of secondary education, ideally up to NVQ level 2.

Responsibilities

• Answer and respond to emergency calls via a personal alarm system and arrange appropriate response.
• Support NHS North-West Ambulance Service and Torus Housing where applicable.
