Job summary

Stockport Homes Group is seeking caring, reliable Carecall Officers to join our Independent Living Carecall Team. Our service operates 24/7, supporting around 5,000 customers in Stockport through emergency alarm monitoring, welfare visits and telecare services.

You will respond to emergency calls, deliver welfare visits, install and promote telecare equipment, and work flexibly across day, night and weekend shifts, often independently but with colleagues across shifts.

• Responding to emergency alarm calls and providing support and reassurance to customers.
• Delivering welfare and emergency visits.
• Providing a dynamic falls response service using specialist lifting equipment.
• Installing, maintaining and promoting telecare equipment.
• Identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns.
• Working closely with customers, families, health professionals and colleagues to provide an excellent service.
• Completing basic administration and using IT systems to maintain accurate records.
• Have a caring, empathetic and customer-focused approach.
• Can remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Are confident making decisions and taking responsibility for their actions.
• Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Are flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of a 24/7 service.
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Are you a caring, reliable and customer-focused individual who wants to help people live independently in their own homes? We're looking for compassionate and committed Carecall Officers to join our Independent Living Carecall Team. Our service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, supporting around 5,000 customers across Stockport through emergency alarm monitoring, welfare visits, falls response and telecare services. No two days are the same. One moment you could be providing reassurance over the phone to a vulnerable customer, and the next you could be responding to an emergency call, assisting someone who has fallen, or installing equipment that helps people stay safe and independent at home. This role requires flexibility, as you will work on a rotating shift pattern that includes day shifts, night shifts, and weekends. You must be comfortable working alone at times and with different colleagues across shifts to ensure continuous service delivery.
