Job summary

Davenant Foundation School is seeking a Careers Co-ordinator to support the Careers Leader and Careers Advisor in delivering the whole-school careers programme and advancing Gatsby Benchmarks. The role is term-time with 30 hours per week plus two summer results days, and requires a full enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK.

Job description

This post sits in the careers team at Davenant Foundation School, a secondary school of around 1,200 pupils. The co-ordinator supports the Careers Leader and Careers Advisor in delivering the whole-school careers programme and working towards the Gatsby Benchmarks. Hours are term-time, 30 a week, plus two days over summer results days. An enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK are required, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

Skills & knowledge

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, working with staff, pupils and visitors
• Good ICT skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads
• Good understanding of post-16 and post-18 career pathways
• Knowledge of the Gatsby Benchmarks
• Flexible response to changing priorities and operational needs
