Job summary

Davenant Foundation School is seeking a proactive Careers & Work Experience Co-ordinator to join our forward-thinking Careers team. You will support the Careers Leader and work with the Careers Advisor to deliver the whole-school careers programme and help achieve Gatsby Benchmarks.

The role focuses on providing enriching careers opportunities for our pupils, with safeguarding and professional conduct integral to daily practice within a thriving secondary school community.

What skills and experience we're looking for

Qualifications and Training

• 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and maths

Skills and Knowledge

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, pupils, and visitors.
• A good level of ICT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Experience of Unifrog and Compass + desirable, however, training will be provided as appropriate.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Good understanding of post-16 and post-18 career pathways
• Knowledge of Gatsby Benchmarks.
• Ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities and operational needs.

You will play a vital role in providing enriching careers opportunities in our thriving secondary school, set in a vibrant community with 1,200 pupils.
